Is it a foldable screen? Samsung Galaxy X’s new patent exposure May 07, 2018

Since the end of 2017, news of the Samsung Galaxy X have been revealed one after another. When the reporter interviewed DJ Koh (Gao Dongzheng), the president of Samsung Electronics' mobile communication business, he revealed that the future Galaxy series models may launch new names, and Galaxy will not Change, but Samsung may have to adjust the name of Sx (X represents digital), it is reported that Samsung's next-generation flagship will be renamed Galaxy X, using a flexible flexible OLED screen design.

On May 3, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) announced a new Samsung patent. The document shows that this new patent allows the device to be equipped with a transparent foldable display. From the point of view, Samsung is disclosed many details of this concept machine, such as preset various use scenarios, and a three-fold wallet design. In the fully expanded case, the user can use it as a flat device, but thanks to the extra hinge, it can also change more gestures.

In fact, the Galaxy X debuted at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) as early as January this year. According to reports, Samsung demonstrated a folded smartphone to a private partner at the CES show in 2018. Samsung allegedly installed three 3.5-inch OLED screens on the outside of the device, with a pair inside. The external screen allows users to interact with the device without having to expand it. Due to the geometry of the device, the two internal screens are between 6 and 7 inches.

Galaxy X is expected to be released by MWC in 2019. If Samsung really plans to launch Galaxy X in February 2019 in MWC 2019, will the release of the Galaxy S10 be advanced? After all, Samsung does not want to see the two flagship devices compete for attention in the same exhibition.
