The number one power consumption hardware screen is always brighter and more power

Under normal circumstances, using the camera screen to display parameters is one of the main reasons for accelerating camera power consumption. Imagine that the phone is always on the screen, will it be faster when the power is turned off? Therefore, it is generally not necessary to adjust the parameters, or adjust the parameters in the viewfinder, it is best to turn off the screen. Press the INFO button directly to switch between different display types, and press the screen to stop, which can easily achieve greater endurance.

There is also the display time of the image confirmation. After many people take the photo, the camera will play back the photo just taken. The default is 2 seconds. If you like continuous shooting, you will pick up dozens of copies at a time. I suggest you take this. The image confirmation time is turned off and is viewed after the shoot. Each of them is displayed in 2 seconds. After ten consecutive shots, it takes 20 seconds to play back. This playback process consumes a lot of power.

On the non-inverting machine, since there is no optical framing, the picture can only be viewed through the electronic viewfinder, and many people will choose the SLR camera for the poor endurance of the micro-single. Some micro-single cameras support rangefinder optical framing and external optical viewfinders, which reduce the constant brightness of the screen and further increase the camera's endurance.

When shooting a video or when you are unable to shoot with the optical viewfinder position, the live view mode is turned on, that is, the LV mode, the screen will always be on. However, in some scenarios, you can lower the brightness of the screen a little, and add a hood to improve the visibility of the screen, which can reduce the power consumption of the screen.

Including me, I often forget to turn off the power of the camera, and the power is silently lost. So you can set the auto power off in the camera. Without any operation, the camera will turn off after setting the time limit, just like the lock time of the mobile phone. I usually set 30 seconds or 1 minute. This time is reasonable, but it varies from person to person.

Camera focus and lens stabilization are very power hungry

Most cameras now support dual-core pixel focus and focus tracking. When you press the shutter button to focus on the photo, the camera constantly detects if the selected focus is aligned. As the camera's image processor continuously calculates the focus and drives the lens's motor to run back and forth, this power consumption increases.

Also, the anti-shake function of the lens and the body is one of the reasons for power consumption. The anti-shake of the lens is corrected by the lens displacement damping system, which also needs to calculate the offset to achieve image stabilization. The anti-shake of the body is mainly achieved by cutting the picture and then calculating the image displacement information to achieve the stabilization effect. If both of them are turned on at the same time, they will soon be out of power.

If you are shooting landscape architecture or still life products, the suggestion here is that with a tripod or stabilizer, the lens stabilization and body anti-shake are turned off for longer battery life.

Optimize settings on small details

The new camera, whether it is low-end entry-level or high-end flagship, is gradually equipped with wireless transmission control functions such as WI-FI and Bluetooth. This is a very convenient function. Previously, for external reasons, only the external wireless transmission module could be plugged in when it was used. Now directly integrated in the camera, open directly in the menu, but often many people will ignore a problem, that is, forget to turn off after the transmission, the camera will always emit wireless signals and always consume power.

There is also a lens aberration correction function, which is not a mandatory feature for general non-professional photographers. Peripheral light quantity correction is actually a vignetting correction. Generally, the shrinking aperture and post-processing can also solve the problem. Some people just like the vignetting effect, and the vignetting angle is added later. My suggestion is that the average player can be turned off all the time, the effect is small, the distortion correction can be retained.

The average user can shoot JPG format. It is not a big choice for professional shooting. It also reduces the memory card capacity. By adjusting the above settings, you can increase the camera's battery life and take more pictures.
